Guns stolen during break-in at Aamjiwnaang First Nation

Sarnia police are investigating after two firearms were reported stolen during a residential break-in at Aamjiwnaang First Nation during the holidays.

City police said the break-in occurred in the area of Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive sometime between December 26 and December 30.

In addition to the firearms, other personal property was reported stolen.

Residents in the area with security cameras are asked to review their video footage for any suspicious vehicles or people. Those with information are asked to report it to the Sarnia Police Service at (519) 344-8861.

The case is being handled by the Criminal Investigations Division.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
