OPP investigating suspicious fire

Lambton OPP are investigating a suspicious fire that happened over the weekend in the Watford area.

Police said firefighters responded to a fire at a barn/storage shed type structure at around 2:45 a.m. Sunday in the Confederation Line and First School Road area.

Further details about the blaze, including damage estimate, were not immediately available.

However, in its Crime of the Week, Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers said damage was estimated at over $50,000.

The Ontario Fire Marshal has been consulted.

Police are asking for residents in the area who may have surveillance video for Saturday evening into Sunday morning or if they saw anything suspicious to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers.
