Police investigating fatal crash in Brooke-Alvinston

Lambton OPP are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision in Brooke-Alvinston.

Officers were contacted about the crash on Aberfeldy Line near Cairo Road at around 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Police, Lambton Emergency Medical Services, and volunteers from Brooke Fire Rescue responded.

Police said the driver, a 31-year-old Petrolia man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Aberfeldy Line remained closed during the morning commute while officers investigated.

Further details, including the identity of the driver, were not immediately known.
