No injuries in a pair of morning fires

It was a busy Monday morning for Sarnia Fire and Rescue.

Crews were called to two separate vehicle fires between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Cobden Street and Bedford Crescent.

Both fires extended to nearby structures including a garage.

Crews were able to knock down the fires quickly, limiting damage to both buildings.

Sarnia fire said damage to a garage and car in the Bedford blaze is estimated at about $130,000.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

Both fires are believed to be accidental.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
