Erie Otters take the win against Sarnia Sting

The Sarnia Sting (16-24-2-0) fell 5-2 to the Erie Otters (19-16-4-0) in Ontario Hockey League action Monday at Erie Insurance Arena.

Kai Schwindt scored both power play goals for the Sting during his 150 OHL career game.

Mitch Young and Marko Sikic both had a pair of assists, while goalie Karsen Chartier made 33 saves in net.

The Sting were outshot by the Otters 38-18, and former Sarnia netminder Ben Gaudreau made 16 saves for Erie.

The Sarnia Sting are three points behind the Flint Firebirds, sitting at fourth in the West Division.

Sarnia is home to the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Friday night.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
