Panel discussion on gender based violence

A panel discussion on gender based violence is being held in the city Thursday night.

Lambton County Library is hosting the event at the Sarnia Library Theatre as part of its One Book Lambton activities.

Women Talking by Miriam Toews was announced earlier this month as the book the library is encouraging you to read in 2024.

Library officials said the panel will include community experts, from various human services fields, who will examine how gender based violence impacts an individual's physical and mental health.

Recommendations are expected to be made on how everyone can help combat the issue.

The event is being held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Those wanting to attend are asked to save their seat online
