No charges laid in vehicle/pedestrian crash

The driver involved in a crash with a pedestrian Tuesday night won't be facing any charges.

Just before 8 p.m., the Sarnia Police Service (SPS) responded to a collision in the area of Exmouth Street and Copland Road.

Police said the driver remained on scene, and the 29-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police determined the man, who was wearing all dark clothing at the time, failed to use the designated pedestrian crosswalk.

The intersection was closed for about an hour for the investigation.
