Sarnia Sting three-game winning streak comes to an end

Owen Sound attacked and snapped the Sarnia Sting's three game winning streak with a 6-2 win in OHL action on Wednesday.

Easton Wainwright and Mitch Young both scored for the Sting (20-27-3), who were outshot by Owen Sound (24-20-5) 41-29.

Sting defenceman Alex Cajkovic was stretchered off the ice early in the third period after a fall and was seen holding his leg. Further details were not immediately available.

The Flint Firebirds, who trail the Sting by one point for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, suffered a 9-2 loss to the London Knights.
