Speeder clocked at 116 km/h

A Sarnia motorist is without a set of wheels after a traffic stop in Grand Bend over the Family Day long weekend.

Lambton OPP said a vehicle was spotted travelling at 116 kilometres an hour, nearly twice the posted 60 km/h speed limit on Monday.

The 21-year-old driver has been charged with stunt driving and their licence has been suspended for 30 days.

The vehicle has been impounded for two weeks.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
