Imperial Theatre has doled out the first jackpot prize of its new 50/50 campaign and the winner is a Theatre Sarnia volunteer.
Alexandra Westelaken was presented with a cheque for $39,115 on Friday, while she was involved in a meeting about an upcoming production.
Her reaction was captured through a video posted to social media.
"Seriously?" said a shocked Westelaken.
Tickets for the next 50/50 draw are currently available and the deadline is set for 11:59 p.m. on May 30. The next jackpot winner will be announced on May 31.
There will be several early bird draws and chances to win other prizes over the coming weeks.

Executive Director Brian Austin Jr. previously said this campaign will include more early bird prizes and more time between draws, compared to the original 50/50 campaign which ran from October 2020 to October 2023.
Money raised will go toward a five-year capital plan involving equipment upgrades at Imperial Theatre and a complete rebuild of Theatre Sarnia's production facility on Campbell Street.
The renovation is part of the theatre's centennial legacy project as Theatre Sarnia will mark its 100th anniversary in 2027.
