A 41-year-old woman from Warwick Township has been charged after search warrants recovered about $30,000 in stolen property.
The Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service (SCPS) said its Auto Task Force (ATF) -- with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Tactics and Rescue Unit, and Lambton OPP Community Street Crime Unit -- executed an initial search at an address on Churchill Line in Warwick Township on February 28.
The next day, on February 29, the ATF was assisted by the Criminal Investigative Division (CID) and uniform patrol, to conduct a search at an address on Metcalfe Street East in Strathroy.
Among the stolen property, police said numerous stolen licence plates were recovered.
Police said while the investigation is ongoing, the suspect was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
