Suspect sought in second recent unprovoked attack

Sarnia police are investigating a second unprovoked, random assault in the city over the past month.

Police said a 57-year-old woman was walking her dogs in the area of Napier Street and Durand Street on March 30.

While cleaning up after her dog, she was allegedly struck from behind in the face, twice, with a closed fist.

She was unable to give an accurate description of the suspect.

Police said the victim suffered bruising and headaches.

A 16-year-old suspect was previously arrested in connection to an unprovoked assault on Talfourd Street on Sunday, March 10.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
