Petrolia organizations topped up through community fund

Seven organizations are getting funding boosts as the Town of Petrolia celebrates its 150th anniversary.

The Petrolia Community Fund, in partnership with the Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF), recently announced its 2023 recipients during a presentation to town council.

The Petrolia District Skating Club, Noelle’s Gift, Petrolia YMCA, Tammy’s Place, No One Stands Alone, Lambton Literacy, and Kiwanis Club of Petrolia are splitting $11,450.

SCF Executive Director Mike Barron was pleased they could provide some much needed assistance.

"With the Town of Petrolia celebrating 150-year anniversary, it is so wonderful to be supporting the quality of life in the community and knowing the foundation can help with vitality, inclusivity and support," said Barron.

The Petrolia Community Fund was established in November 2012.

For more information or to contribute, contact Mike Barron at the SCF office 519 332-2588 or visit www.town.petrolia.on.ca/about-petrolia/community-fund.
