'It had to be an April Fools' joke' Sarnia man wins big on scratch ticket

A Sarnia man got to celebrate April Fools' Day with $50,000 instead of a joke.

Allan Eichler got his first big win on an INSTANT BINGO after being a regular player for nearly 30 years.

"I scratched the ticket at home and saw I won but thought I made a mistake," he said.

Eichler said he plans to do a lot of good with the money he won.

He said he will share his winnings with his sister and treat himself to a new pair of shoes.

Eichler bought the ticket at Confederation Variety on Confederation Street in Sarnia.
