'Coffee with a Cop' Wednesday in Petrolia

Lambton OPP is inviting members of the public to have "coffee with a cop" in Petrolia on Wednesday, May 15.

The casual event, at the Coffee Lodge on Petrolia Line from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is being offered to allow an open discussion on crime prevention, road safety, and anything related to policing in Lambton County.

OPP members will also be able to answer questions about recruitment, special constable positions, auxiliary programs and cadet positions.

The event is being held during Police Week from May 12-18.

This year's provincial theme is "Join Policing: Keep Ontario Safe."

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
