Sarnia fire respond to dumpster fire

No injuries were reported after a fire Sunday morning in a construction dumpster.

Firefighters were called at around 6:30 a.m. to the area of Russell Street between Kathleen Avenue and Davis Street.

Fire Chief Jeff Weber said it was contained to the dumpster.

He also said the loss was minimal because the material burned was construction and building waste.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
