OPP investigate threatening message at Corunna school

The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) says a threatening message was found at Sir John Moore Community School on Tuesday.

Lambton OPP were called to the Corunna school and conducted an investigation.

The board issued a news release late Tuesday afternoon.

"It was deemed that there is no immediate threat to student or staff safety at this time," read the statement. "However, as a precaution, enhanced safety measures have been put in place, including police presence and on-site presence of LKDSB’s System Coordinator for Safe Schools."

The LKDSB said they, along with police, will continue to work closely together to ensure a safe learning environment for all.

Anyone with further information about the incident is asked to contact the LKDSB or Lambton OPP directly.
