The St. Clair Catholic District School Board will be celebrating the new track at St. Patrick's High School on Tuesday.
Around 400 athletes from Grades 3 to 8 will converge for the Lambton Catholic Sports Council Track and Field meet.
It starts at 10 a.m. with an opening ceremony, a ribbon cutting, and a parade of athletes.
"We are thrilled to host this track and field meet at our new St. Pat's track," said Director of Education Scott Johnson. "This event showcases our students' athletic abilities and out commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive community."
The school board has also launched a 50/50 raffle to support the new track.
Tickets for the raffle will be available at the meet or online.
The public can purchase tickets until June 20 with the final draw on June 21.
