High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A 39-year-old man from Enniskillen Township is facing charges for allegedly breaking into a Brooke-Alvinston residence.Lambton OPP said officers were called to a residence on Francis Street, off of River Road, just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 13.OPP said a victim identified the suspect who had already left the area. Police found the suspect shortly after.The accused was charged with break and enter and trespassing at night.He will be held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on Friday, June 14.
