Urn with Ohio markings discovered in St. Clair Township

Provincial police are asking for help identifying the owner of a small urn containing ashes, recovered from the St. Clair River early this year.

Lambton OPP was called to a residence on St. Clair Parkway, south of St. Clair Boulevard, in Corunna on January 9 regarding the found property.

OPP said the only identifying marking on the urn is a tag, "Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Ohio."

Attempts to find the rightful owner have come up unsuccessful so far, which is why OPP are now turning to the public for help.

Those with information are asked to contact Lambton OPP at 519-882-1011 or 1-888-310-1122.
