The Sarnia Street Machines will host its Cruise in the Park fundraiser at Canatara Park on Sunday, June 23, in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children.
Sarnia Street Machines President Kip McMillan said they're hoping to see all types of vehicles at the park — even if they're "a work in progress."
"I want anything. I don't care if you have to push it, pull it, drag it... cars are for everybody," McMillan laughed. "I guarantee somebody's going to love it."
McMillan said his goal is to fill the park with more vehicles than his dad did during his long-time stint as the group's president.
"He had well over 700 cars in that park, I want 800," McMillan said.
Walk-in admission is by donation (cash only) and vehicle admission is $15. Pre-registration is not required.
"We've raised over $300,000 for Pathways over the years," said McMillan.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. and will run until 3 p.m.
The car show will include a 50/50 raffle, food trucks, vendors, and live music. Scott Manery and the Barnburners and Borderline are scheduled to perform at the park.
