OPP investigate assault in Point Edward

Provincial police are asking for tips from the public as they investigate an incident in the Village of Point Edward after an unknown suspect was allegedly caught going through unlocked vehicles.

Lambton OPP said officers were called to the area of Lite Street and Helena Street on June 24, just before 4 p.m., about a possible theft in progress.

The suspect left the area and was last seen going toward Front Street.

OPP described the suspect as being a white male, approximately 5' 9" tall, wearing grey shorts and no shirt.
