Another fire at Rainbow Park

For the second time in just over two days, emergency responders were called to a fire at Rainbow Park.

Sarnia police and fire crews responded to the homeless encampment just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The Sarnia Fire Rescue Service said a tent fire extended to a secondary tent but the blaze was brought under control quickly.

No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, Sarnia police said only property was damaged in the blaze.

Further details, including the cause of the fire, were not immediately available.

On Friday, crews responded to a fire just before 5 a.m. at the encampment. A candle is believed to be the cause.
