Beats on the Street to benefit humane society

The seventh annual Beats on the Street event will be held in the city's downtown area this weekend in support of the Sarnia and District Humane Society.

The two-day event, featuring multiple entertainers and several DJs, will kick off on Friday, July 5. Saturday's lineup includes Juno award winner and Hip Hop artist Choclair.

The upbeat event was created by DJ Phatfingers with the goal of attracting people to downtown Sarnia to enjoy music, food, and drinks, while raising money for a different charity each year.

Proceeds raised last year supported The Fresh Start Project: (TFSP) Sarnia Area. The group helps individuals and families transition from a shelter to independent living.

Beats on the Street will begin at 6 p.m. both Friday and Saturday, at Refined Fool Brewing Co., located on Davis Street.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate.

Additional details and lineups can be found at revelree.ca.
