Charges laid in Adelaide Metcalfe fatal collision

Charges have been laid following a fatal collision in June involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Adelaide Metcalfe.

Emergency responders were called to Egremont Drive, just west of School Road, on June 15 at 1:10 p.m.

Two people on the motorcycle died as a result of the crash. OPP did not release their identities.

An update provided by Middlesex OPP on Monday, July 8, said the SUV driver, a 46-year-old from Adelaide Metcalfe, was charged with two counts of careless driving causing death.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in an Ontario Provincial Traffic Court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
