Artists and musicians take over Petrolia's Victoria Park

About 60 vendors will be set up at Victoria Park for Art in the Park in Petrolia.

The free two-day outdoor event also features live demonstrations, a kids craft area and music.

Spokesperson Barb Prescott said artists from across the province will showcase their unique skills and talents.

"There's something for everyone," said Prescott. "We even have a brand new artist to us that's doing amazing things with a 3D printer, really an out-of-the-box idea for us. We have almost 60 artisans over the two days and they're really excited."

Spokesperson Carol Graham said it's a free, family fun event.

"We have so many things going on in addition to the artists, which are a major draw," said Graham. "We've got the tie-dye booth where you can go and bring a shirt and have it tie-dyed and if you want to buy one you can do that as well. We have a youth singing contest, and we're still taking applicants."

The two day event at Victoria Park runs Friday, July 12 from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 13.

The Petrolia SINGS! Youth Contest is on Saturday at 1 p.m.
