Sarnia police have laid charges in connection with an assault at Rainbow Park.

It's alleged a dispute over drugs led to a physical altercation in which a 45-year-old woman was hit with multiple blows to the body with a baseball bat, suffering minor injuries.

A 31-year-old woman was arrested.

She's been charged with assault with a weapon and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
