Woman faces impaired charges in Thursday crash

A 55-year-old Sarnia woman is accused of blowing three times the legal limit after a single vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m., city police responded to Cathcart Boulevard near Colborne Road where an off-duty officer saw a car strike a pole in a parking lot.

Police said patrol officers arrived and the driver was allegedly showing signs of impairment.

She was arrested and taken to Sarnia Police Headquarters where she allegedly failed a breath test.

Fortunately no one was injured.

The Sarnia Police Service is reminding the public that if you're planning to consume alcohol, make arrangements for a safe ride home.
