No warnings posted at area beaches

Local Lake Huron beaches have been given the all clear for swimming this weekend.

Lambton Public Health conducts water testing at Grand Bend, Pinery Provincial Park, Ipperwash Main Beach, C.J. McEwan (Highland Glen), Bright's Grove and Canatara.

The health unit said at this time, no warning signs are posted.

We are reminded that following heavy rainfall, the water at area beaches may be temporarily polluted for up to 48 hours.

If you're planning on visiting the beach, you're advised to check the water quality status ahead of time.

You can do that by texting the keyword: BEACH to 226-909-3003, viewing LPHs map of beach locations and inspection results, calling the Beach Info Line: 519-383-3816, toll-free 1-800-667-1839 ext. 3816 or viewing signs at the inspected beach location entry points.
