Cyclist killed in London Line collision

Sarnia police say a cyclist has died following a collision on London Line involving a transport truck.

The collision was reported shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, July 29, in the area of London Line and Telfer Road.

Police said the cyclist, a 42-year-old Sarnia man, succumbed to his injuries after he was struck in the eastbound lane.

Although the investigation is ongoing, Sarnia police said no charges are expected to be laid at this time.

The cyclist's identity has not been released.

London Line was closed between Telfer Road and Brigden Road for several hours as part of the investigation. The area reopened to traffic Tuesday afternoon.
