Minor injuries reported after car hits tree

Sarnia police say a driver suffered a medical episode overnight that caused a vehicle to crash into a tree in the city's north end.

Police reported the collision at Indian Road and Errol Road shortly before 1 a.m. on Thursday.

A social media post on X, formerly Twitter, had asked residents to avoid the intersection for the investigation.

Police said the driver suffered minor injuries. No charges were laid.

The area was cleared shortly after 3:15 a.m.
