Unsolved murders highlighted on anniversary of Morag Davies death

A 36-year-old unsolved murder is one of several decades old cases recently highlighted by Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia Real Estate Agent Morag Davies was last seen by a visiting co-worker on the night of August 23, 1988.

When she failed to show up at work, co-workers returned to her Retlaw Drive home on August 25 and found the 45-year-old dead of multiple stab wounds in her bedroom.

The murder weapon was never recovered.

The crime prevention group is also appealing for tips in the March, 1974 murder of Karen Caughlin, the December, 2011 murder of B.J. Raymond and the July, 2020 murder of David Jordan Oliver.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
