Driver suffers minor injuries after crashing into house

Minor injuries were reported after a vehicle struck a house in Corunna Wednesday afternoon.

St. Clair Township Fire Department crews were called to the area of Cameron Street and Colborne Street shortly before 12:30 p.m.

Fire Chief Richard Boyes said the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Boyes said two people were home at the time of the collision and, while the incident shook them up, they were not injured.

Structural damage was reported but a damage estimate was not immediately available.

Boyes said fire crews cleared the scene shortly before 1 p.m. and were waiting on the building department to assess the house.

There's no word on potential charges. Lambton OPP said the investigation is ongoing.

More information will be included in the story once it becomes available.
