Bright's Grove fire under investigation

City firefighters were still at a Bright's Grove property on Thursday, trying to determine what sparked a fire Wednesday night.

Fire Life Safety Educator Mike Otis said crews responded to a neighbourhood near the Lake Huron shoreline just before 9:30 p.m.

"At approximately 9:25 p.m., Sarnia Fire Rescue was called to a structure fire in the 2,000 block of Wilmers Lane," Otis said. "[There were] heavy flames and smoke coming through the garage."

Otis said no injuries were reported.

"Everyone was out of the home. We had a total of 19 personnel attend," he said. "We're currently investigating the cause of the fire and we have no damage estimate at this time."
