Fall fair festivities continue in Plympton-Wyoming

The Plympton-Wyoming Fall Fair is expected to welcome thousands of guests over the weekend.

This year's theme is "Pumpkin Wishes and Harvest Kisses".

Plympton-Wyoming Agricultural Society President Lauren Armstrong said visitors can expect a variety of events, including a band new hypnotist show.

"There's anything from a great entertainment line up, and then there's 4H shows, there's vendors, we have a ton of exhibits and different categories people can enter in," she said.

Additionally, the midway will be making a return.

Armstrong there are two new kids shows.

"One is the Magic Bean and the other is All About Science. These are two new shows that we've never had before, they're offered all day Saturday and all day Sunday," she said.

Armstrong said she's looking forward to the weekend.

"It's my favourite time of year. I've always come to the fair since I was little and being president now it's kind of a good feeling," she said.

The fair kicks off on Friday, September 13  at 5 p.m.  at the Wyoming Fair Grounds on Main Street with the opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, gates open at 10 a.m. and the parade will be held at 11:45 a.m. starting at McKay Park.

Admission is $10 and elementary school aged children and younger get in free.
