UPDATE: Sarnia police unable to locate wanted man

Sarnia police say the search for a wanted city man has come up empty.

Officers were looking for 37-year-old Brandon Waters on Monday morning, in the area of Nelson Street and Cotterbury Street.

He was the subject of last week's Wanted Wednesday campaign.

Police said Waters is wanted for eight counts of break and enter, two counts of mischief, and theft under $5,000.

Police were asking residents to avoid the area for several hours, but said there was no concern for public safety.
