Sarnia Sting lose on the road, 5-1 to the Bulldogs

The Sarnia Sting (2-2-1-1)  suffered a 5-1 loss to the Bulldogs (2-3-0-0) in Brantford Wednesday night.

Brantford's Nick Lardis scored the first goal of the night just over five minutes into the first period. He would score twice more in the third for a hat trick in the win.

Beckham Edwards scored Sarnia's lone goal in the second period, with goalie Nick Surzycia turning away 29 of 34 shots in the loss.

Sarnia made 27 shots on goal.

The Sting are back on home ice Friday night against Oshawa.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
