Over $60K raised for St. Joseph's Hospice

Recent fundraisers in Wyoming had a big pay out for St. Joseph's Hospice.

The Wyoming Lions Club raised $38,604 for the facility during a golf tournament in June.

The Lions Club International Foundation also contributed an award of $22,043.83 for a combined total of $60,647.83.

A formal cheque presentation was recently held at the Lions Club.

The hospice's 10-bed residence, located at 475 Christina Street North, opened its doors in 2009.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
