Collisions reported at two Brooke-Alvinston intersections within hours

Charges have been laid in two separate crashes in Brooke-Alvinston on Wednesday.

Lambton OPP said a two-vehicle crash was reported shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of Railroad Line and Nauvoo Road.

One driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said a 72-year-old from Alvinston was charged with careless driving and disobeying a stop sign.

Meanwhile, a collision involving a cube van and pick-up truck was reported shortly after, just before 3 p.m. at Inwood Road and Aberfeldy Line.

Police said both drivers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The area was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation. As a result, a 62-year-old from Windsor was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
