Christmas tree placed at Sarnia City Hall

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Sarnia City Hall.

A Colorado Blue Spruce, donated by Sue Miller and removed from a property off Trudeau Drive, was transported downtown by Schouten Excavating and lifted into place by Jebco Cranes on Wednesday.

Both companies donated their time and equipment free of charge.

Sarnia's forestry crew inspected the tree and was joined by the facilities team to help secure the tree with cables in the fountain area at the Christina Street site.

Residents can submit their trees as prospective candidates to save the cost of removing the tree themselves.
