Police track stolen truck to Corunna residence

Sarnia police say tracking technology helped them find a vehicle that was stolen from a driveway on Tweedsmuir Avenue.

Officers were called at around 8 a.m. November 16 after the victim's 2023 Ford Tremor was taken.

Police said the truck was quickly tracked to the area of Murray Street and Cameron Street in Corunna, and officers spotted a man and woman leaving a Cameron Street home.

It's alleged the man was wearing identical clothing to the person captured on the surveillance video of the stolen vehicle.

Both suspects were arrested, and the keys to the truck were allegedly found discarded at the base of a tree.

During a search of the man, police said they located a butterfly-style knife.

A 35-year-old man and 27-year-old woman, who were both wanted on outstanding warrants, are facing charges.
