Sarnia Sting rookie Beckham Edwards sent the teddy bears flying Sunday afternoon at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, with his 12th goal of the season.
Saginaw would spoil Sarnia's Teddy Bear Toss Game with a 4-1 win.
The Spirit got on the board first with a goal by Calem Mangone with under 40 seconds left in the opening frame.
Saginaw's Michael Misa scored just 1:14 seconds into the second period for a 2-0 lead over Sarnia.
Edwards got the Sting on the board with a power play goal just two and half minutes later with an assist from Easton Wainwright.
Saginaw followed up with two more goals from Kristian Epperson and Carson Harmer.
Sting Goalie Nick Surzycia made 28 saves in net as the Spirit outshot Sarnia 32-14.
Fans tossed 4,663 stuffed toys onto the ice, surpassing last year's total. They will be distributed to about 20 local charities.
Sarnia travels to Peterborough on Thursday to face the Pete's.
