Four cats perish in Corunna house fire

The St. Clair Township Fire Department says four cats died in a blaze in Corunna Friday morning.

Crews from station two responded to a single family home on Oakdale Court, just after 11 a.m.

They arrived to find smoke, flames, and the smell of burning wood.

Three other stations were called in to assist.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time.

The cause is undetermined, but not considered suspicious, and damage is pegged at around $300,000.

The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office will not be investigating.
