Hallmark themed Christmas in Alvinston

The streets of Brooke-Alvinston will be bustling with holiday cheer Saturday, December 14.

It's the Alvinston and District Optimist Club's Hallmark Christmas Celebration.

Highlights include street performers, hay wagon rides, interactive crafts, taffy making, live music and fire performers.

Children can also grab a photo with Santa at the Gazebo from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Vendors will be set up at the arena hall for the craft and bake sale from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., as well as along River Street in support of Brooke Central School.

At 6 p.m. is the lighting of the Christmas Tree at the Gazebo.

River Street will be closed from Millpond Avenue to Lorne Street during the festivities.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
