The accolades keep rolling in for first-year Sarnia Sting players.
Forward Liam Beamish is the Ontario Hockey League's rookie of the week, for the week ending December 15.
He recorded four goals, and three assists for seven points over three contests.
The Sting lost 5-4 in a shootout against Flint on Wednesday, and followed that up with victories over Owen Sound and Sault Ste. Marie.
The 17-year-old Beamsville native joined the Sting in late November after starting off the season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL where he recorded eight points (4-4-8) in 20 games played.
He spent last season in the GOJHL playing for the Fort Erie Meteors and was also named GOJHL (Golden Horseshoe) rookie of the year.
Beamish was selected by the Sting in the eighth round (151st overall) of the 2023 OHL Priority Selection.
The Sting's Beckham Edwards captured rookie of the week honours for the weeks of September 30 to October 6, and November 11 to 17.
Alessandro Di Iorio won the award for the week of October 14 to 20.
