Red Kettle campaign still short of reaching $165K goal

Sarnia's Salvation Army is hoping to see more last-minute donations through its Red Kettle campaign as the Christmas Eve deadline approaches.

An update shared on Facebook Monday morning said $157,021 has been raised so far. The goal this year is to raise $165,000.

"We know we can get there, thank you to everyone who has given their time, their money, and most of all thank you for the stories," read a post on the Salvation Army's Facebook page.

Kettles will be out at various locations until 8 p.m. on Monday and between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24. Some locations in Sarnia include The Real Canadian Superstore, Canadian Tire, Walmart, Lambton Mall, and Metro Northgate.

Money raised through the kettle campaign will support programs and services provided by the local Salvation Army.
