Sarnia-Lambton Crime Stoppers is renewing its plea for information related to the death of a 22-year-old man over two decades ago.
Robert "BJ" Raymond was stabbed at The Border Club on Christina Street in Sarnia at around 2:15 a.m. on December 28, 2001.
Crime Stoppers said the downtown bar was full with hundreds of young people, many home for the holidays.
As the bar was closing, Crime Stoppers said a fight broke out in the back parking lot. "BJ" attempted to intervene after recognizing some of his friends were involved in the altercation, but was on the ground in minutes suffering from a stab wound to his heart.
Efforts to revive him on scene were unsuccessful, and he died in hospital.
Sarnia police recovered the weapon believed to have been used, however, the person responsible has not been located.
An extensive investigation was launched and several hundred statements were taken from the numerous patrons in attendance that night.
Crime Stoppers said Raymond's family deserves closure.
