Dream home tickets over 60 per cent sold

You have less than a month to get your tickets for this year's Bluewater Health Foundation Dream Home Lottery.

Tickets are over 60 per cent sold for the grand prize home valued at over $1.5 million in Plympton-Wyoming.

Bluewater Health Foundation Executive Director Kathy Alexander said the campaign has been going well.

"The people are continuing to purchase tickets, they're rallying behind the fact it supports Bluewater Health, both sites of Bluewater Health. We're really grateful for the incredible support," she said.

This year the foundation also added the Bluewater Dream Calendar, which is over 55 per cent sold.

Open houses have been held since October for people to view the home and Alexander said the feedback has been positive.

"I think what's really exciting about the dream home is that every year there is something new and exciting that builders and decorators are highlighting with the work that they do and this year is no exception, this year's home is stunning," she said.

Alexander said the amount of people visiting and touring the home has been the largest to date.

The last day to tour the home is on Wednesday, February 5.

Proceeds from the dream home will go towards cancer care redevelopment in Sarnia and the redevelopment of the emergency department at CEE Hospital in Petrolia.

"The partnership makes perfect sense," said Alexander. "We both exist to raise funds for Bluewater Health and coming together several years ago has really just elevated our relationship and our partnership and people are really excited to help both of us."

In its 30 years, the Bluewater Health Foundation Dream Home Lottery has raised over $9 million.

There is an early bird draw coming up where a 2023 BMW or $45,000 is up for grabs.

The deadline to purchase tickets is 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, January 8 with the draw scheduled for Thursday, January 16.

Meanwhile, the deadline to purchase tickets for the dream home is on Wednesday, February 5 with the draw on Thursday, February 20.

Tickets are available online through the foundation's website.
