Police searching for suspect in Elizabeth Ave. break-in

Sarnia police are searching for a suspect after someone broke into an Elizabeth Avenue home Tuesday evening.

Officers were called at around 6:45 p.m. after a man entered the residence through a basement window and was confronted by the owner.

Police said the suspect immediately fled empty handed through the same window, and the resident searched the area for about 10 minutes before calling police. Uniformed officers along with the K9 unit were unable to find a suspect.

The male suspect is described as roughly 5'5" tall, who wore a full face mask, a dark-coloured jacket (possibly green) with a black hood, grey or black pants and grey work boots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at (519) 344-8861.
