Vehicle owner sought in Petrolia hit-and-run

Lambton OPP are asking for help to identify the owner of a black pickup truck following a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in Petrolia last month.

Police said the collision occurred on Petrolia Line at West Street at about 1:30 p.m. on December 27.

"Early investigation revealed that while an individual was attempting to cross the road, a black pickup truck, reversing, struck the pedestrian. The involved vehicle failed to remain at the collision scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," police said in a news release.

Officers obtained a photo of the vehicle involved during further investigation.

The vehicle is described as a black Toyota Tundra.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who may have information on the owner of the involved vehicle, is asked to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
